Raising up young leaders in Tasmania

Your generosity is equipping the Leaders in Training (LIT) program to spread further in Australia, training Tasmania’s emerging young leaders to serve, lead, and share Jesus.

Beginning with 13 campers in 2021, it has now grown to 51 in 2025, with LIT camps now taking place in the north and south of the state. Many churches in Tasmania are small or based in rural areas, where resources are limited and opportunities for training are rare. For these teens, your support is truly life-changing.

LIT brings teenagers together from across Tasmania to discover their gifts, grow in faith and create gospel friendships. Through your partnership, some of these young people now return as leaders, multiplying what they’ve learned by discipling others in their church and community.

Kristy Crouch, LIT Tasmania Director, shares:

“LIT supports churches in Tasmania by providing training for their youth who may not necessarily have the opportunity to do this in their local church.”

LIT exists to give young leaders the opportunity to hear from God’s word, be encouraged by their peers, and gain training that will shape their ministry for years ahead. You’re part of strengthening under-resourced churches, equipping ministers, and ensuring even isolated young believers have the chance to grow and lead in Christ.

Thank you for multiplying disciple-makers and raising up a new generation of leaders for Tasmania — and for the future of God’s church. With your support, the LIT training pathway is taking root in every state of Australia, with future opportunities for LIT London and Texas!
