More students and more lives changed through SRE

Because of your partnership, twice as many children and teenagers across Western Sydney have a chance to encounter the hope and truth of Jesus in their schools and churches – even for the very first time.

In communities like Merrylands, over 100 preschoolers are connected every week through church-run programs and playgroups. Primary and high school students are welcomed into SRE classes where faith is nurtured, and young hearts are changed.

Even in busy, multicultural neighbourhoods where sport and other commitments may compete for attention, your support ensures that every student who walks through the classroom door has the opportunity to hear the gospel and respond.

One Year 11 student took a bold step to join an SRE class for the first time. As Josh Donohue, Assistant Minister and SRE teacher, recalls,

“She’d never been [to SRE] before but wanted to come along… she then wanted to get baptised, so I did baptism classes with her, and then I had the privilege of baptising her. Praise God!”
