You'd be surprised how this full-time worker fits SRE into his week

Most people assume teaching SRE requires spare time they don't have. Ross Walker is a full-time industrial chemist – and he's been teaching weekly SRE classes since 2008.

Ross works from home on Tuesdays and ducks out for just over an hour to teach two classes back-to-back. Arranging this regular time off with his boss presents an opportunity to explain what SRE is and why teaching it is so important for Ross.

As a seasoned SRE teacher, lesson prep takes him about 15 minutes. Ross says,

“The curriculum material is fantastic, especially for someone like me who isn't a trained primary school teacher.”

That SRE curriculum exists because of you. So does the training Ross completed, and the ongoing teacher support that keeps him going year after year.

As to why he continues to serve in the SRE ministry, Ross puts it simply:

“I think it's just a really meaningful thing to be doing once a week.”

Thank you for making it possible for volunteers like Ross to keep teaching Scripture confidently and faithfully each week.  Will you pray that more Christians in paid employment discover they have the time – and the calling – to teach SRE?
