About
Step away from the noise—technology, chores, daily pressures—and enjoy a holiday that helps your family reconnect with each other, with creation, and ultimately with Jesus, our Saviour. This isn’t a camp—it’s a true holiday. Everything is opt-in. There are no bells, no schedules to follow, and absolutely no guilt in lounging poolside with a good book.
Our activities are intentionally family-friendly, designed for shared enjoyment rather than being kid-centric or adults-only. Deliberately, there are no kids clubs to hand off parenting duties. Our program is crafted to help you make lasting memories together through meaningful, shared experiences—not isolated ones.
The Dicker and Hudson families created this week by asking themselves, “What would we want in our own holiday?”
So come and join us—it’s time to redefine what a family holiday can be.
Rathane
Discover Rathane – the perfect waterfront family holiday destination! Nestled in the Royal National Park, gaze across the ocean’s horizon and watch the sun or moon rise over pristine Port Hacking. Rathane features ensuite rooms, dining with stunning views, outdoor activities, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Enjoy time on the boats, exploring the bush, or relaxing poolside while creating meaningful moments together as a family. Ideal for families seeking fun, relaxation, and lasting memories this summer!
Rooms
Each room can accommodate up to seven guests. However, your family may prefer to book two rooms for extra space and comfort.
Some rooms offer internal connecting doors—if this is important to your family, please let us know when you book.
Rooms feature two bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and a single bed on the top, plus a single trundle bed. All rooms are air-conditioned with private ensuite bathrooms.
Food & Beverage
Fully catered – and far more than just refuelling. We're here to enjoy, unwind, connect and celebrate together.
Start your day with a breakfast buffet between 7:30 - 10:00am. Lunch is available between 12:00 - 2:00pm. As the evening approaches, meet for communal pre-dinner charcuterie & cheese boards and drinks, then food trucks serve dinner between 6:30 - 9:00pm.
Meals are served buffet-style, without bell ringing —come when you’re ready, or sleep in if you prefer.
Fruit, toast, tea and freshly ground White Horse coffee are available all day for you to help yourself. Chilled water is served with every meal, and juice is offered at breakfast.
Guests are welcome to BYO soft drinks and alcohol.
Ministry
We’re expecting the week to carry the same rich Christian flavour that’s at the heart of everything we do at Youthworks. Whether it's playing in God’s creation, chatting by the pool, or enjoying slow lunches with friends, we’re praying that God will be at work in every moment.
Mike Dicker (Principal of Youthworks College) will be leading 'opt-in' times designed to help the whole family grow together in discipleship. He’ll guide us in discovering practical ways to weave Bible reading and prayer into the everyday rhythms of family life.
Activities
Every activity is designed for all ages to enjoy together—because the best memories are the ones you make side by side.
Sail across sparkling waters, feel the thrill of tubing behind the boat, or glide peacefully on a stand-up paddleboard. Cast a line from our dock, take on the 80-metre waterslide, or cool off in freshwater swimming holes.
Let curiosity lead the way as you explore bush trails, climb rocky outcrops, and soak in stunning views. Play a round of beach volleyball, kick a ball on the oval, or just let creativity run free with sandcastles on the sandbar.
Rain or shine, there’s always something to enjoy—together.
Pricing
$2,400 for a family of two adults and two children.
We understand this is a significant investment, but we believe this holiday offers exceptional value given the inclusions listed above and the peak season timing (the day after Boxing Day 2025 through to New Year’s Day 2026)
At Youthworks, we want this holiday to be accessible to all families. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we invite families experiencing financial hardship to contact us regarding available subsidies.

We’d love to hear from you.

FAQs
-
Because this is a family holiday—designed for families to spend meaningful time together, enjoy each other’s company, and create lasting memories.
We know term time can be busy and demanding, which is why we believe holidays are a precious opportunity to reconnect and relax as a family. If you’ve weathered the school term together, why not enjoy the holiday together too?
If you're seeking a more separate experience for parents and children, this may not be the right fit. But if you’re looking for quality shared moments, you won’t want to be anywhere else.
-
We’ll get wet—and then we’ll get dry!
There’s something special about hearing raindrops hit the pool while you swim, or listening to a rain front roll in from hundreds of metres away while sailing—these are memorable moments in their own right.
Afterward, nothing beats a warm shower, a hot chocolate, and curling up with a good book. These are the cozy times that often make family holidays truly special.
Guests are welcome to use the washing machine and dryer to stay warm, dry, and ready for whatever the weather brings.
Our program is flexible and designed to fit in with the conditions—rain, wind, tides and all.
-
A parent is required to maintain duty of care for their children at all times. This means being present and actively supervising activities such as fishing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), or watersliding.
You don’t need to be on the tube with them, but you will need to be on the powerboat to ensure you're nearby in case your child needs support.
If you have specific accessibility needs or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Yes.
We strive to honour God in all that we do, including how alcohol is consumed.
If we are concerned that your alcohol consumption is impairing your ability to care for your children or setting a poor example for others, you may be asked to leave early without a refund.

We understand that cost can be a challenge, and we don’t want it to be an insurmountable barrier.
At the same time, we want this to be an experience you genuinely want to be part of—complete with great food, quality activities, and lasting memories. While we could lower the cost by compromising on quality, we believe we’ve found a balanced approach that offers real value.
To help make this experience accessible to all, we invite you to get in touch with us about payment plans or possible subsidies made available through our generous donors. We’d love to explore how we can support your family to come along.

No.
We’re delighted to welcome all to our Getaways. All of our team members involved in the running of each Getaway are Christians.
We carefully craft the input and delivery to avoid ostracising or prompting a sense of guilt in someone who doesn’t call themselves a Christian.
-
We want you to be part of it too. We have 3 ways of supporting us:
1. Pray for us. That each Getaway would be enriching for families as they spend time with each other while being in awe of Creation.
2. Volunteer. Giving your time will help keep our price competitive and the value high. We are looking for volunteers to help in all manner of ways – give us a call if you are keen to know more (02 8525 3142).
3. Financially. This could be done directly by funding a family you know would appreciate a Getaway like this, or make a donation towards this ministry by contacting donations@youthworks.net
