Compliance Administrator / Sydney CBD

Youthworks is seeking a Compliance Administrator to join our People and Safety Team. The People and Safety Team, as a part of Youthworks Operations, ensures the organisation’s operational disciplines of health, safety and wellbeing, human resources, compliance, industrial relations, development, and administration are achieved. We partner with Youthworks’ Teams to build capacity to deliver better business outcomes.
About the role
The position assists the People and Safety Team in ensuring that Youthworks complies with external regulatory and legal requirements as well as Youthworks’ internal policies and procedures. The position also assists in the activities of the People and Safety Team, to enable Youthworks to meet its ministry and business objectives in line with the Strategic plan.
Your responsibilities
Provide administrative support by implementing systems, procedures, and policies, completing projects
Assist in the delivery of regular reminders and routine processes
Assist the operations that lead to Youthworks having and sustaining an overall compliance with employment law, health and safety, licensing laws and other relevant legal regulations
Administrate Youthworks’ Contractors induction processes and gather relevant paperwork as required
Administrate Youthworks’ Safety Data Sheet and Hazardous Chemical Registers
You will need to demonstrate
Experience in an administration / compliance or work health & safety role
Willingness to attain and maintain church-based child protection training endorsed by the National Council of Churches in Australia Safe Church Program
Ability to analyse, review and improve operational processes
Demonstrated ability to work within an environment of evolving priorities and tasks, while maintaining a high attention to detail
Ability to grasp large amounts of information, be able to quickly learn & adapt, and work to set deadlines
Flexible, collaborative, proactive and innovative
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and to be flexible to reflect changes in priority
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
Desirable
Experience in a similar role managing potentially sensitive material
Experience in a non-for-profit setting
Experience in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of management systems
Enthusiastic and driven
