You opened the way for courageous gospel sharing in Fiji
Students Maddie and Harry expected the Year 13 Fiji mission to stretch them. It did. In an unfamiliar culture, God gave each of them courage to share the gospel. Your support helped create these opportunities.
Maddie worried that she lacked the ministry skills she’d need. She prepared carefully, simplifying big ideas for primary school students who were only just beginning to learn English.
Even when she felt far outside her comfort zone, Maddie saw God’s provision. “Throughout the trip God showed me how much of a provider he is, even in a place where I felt uncomfortable.”
Harry feared that sickness might limit his mission work. Instead, he learnt that “God’s strength really shines in when you’re weak”.
When planned school visits fell through, another opportunity appeared. Local young people invited Harry’s team into the police compound where they lived, and the team taught them the Bible each afternoon.
That experience changed how Harry viewed mission. “I can proclaim the word of God wherever I go.”
Thank you for supporting young people like Maddie and Harry to grow as disciple-makers.
