Pathways for School Leavers
Youthworks has worked alongside schools for over 200 years, tracing our history in the Anglican Diocese of Sydney back to 1815. Today, we partner with both Christian and public schools across the country to support students' well-being, character, and spiritual formation.
You’re in good company
Some of the incredible schools we partner with
Our mission is to build the capacity and effectiveness of schools in discipling young people to maturity in Christ, working alongside teachers, chaplains, and school leaders rather than in their place.
Nowhere else will your school find such a rich reservoir of knowledge, resources, and practical experience with young people, all gathered under one roof. From outdoor education and gap-year programs to teacher training and classroom curricula, Youthworks offers schools a trusted, single point of partnership for youth and children's ministry

School Camps
Every school camp has the same goal: to pull students away from screens, routines, and distractions, and to give them space to connect, grow, and be present with each other. At Youthworks, that's exactly what we're built for.
Set across three of New South Wales' most beautiful natural landscapes, from the waterfront at Port Hacking to the rivers of Shoalhaven and the escarpment views of the Blue Mountains, our centres give your students room to breathe. Comfortable accommodation, purpose-built facilities and outdoor experiences designed for real connection, not just a change of scenery.
Curriculum Resources
For over 100 years, Christian Education Publications (CEP) has been providing best-practice Religious Education curriculum for independent schools. Used in every Protestant denomination, every Australian state, and around the world, we offer extensive curriculum options from kindergarten through to Year 12 that will deliver engaging, age-appropriate and theologically robust lessons.
Professional Development
The Centre for Christian Education, part of Youthworks College, equips Christian teachers and educators to deepen their theological foundations, grow as reflective practitioners, and integrate faith, learning, and teaching practice. Choose from three flexible accredited pathways: a 4-unit Undergraduate Certificate of Divinity, an 8-unit Diploma of Theology, or a 4-unit Graduate Certificate of Divinity. These pathways combine core theology with units on formative Christian teaching, while enabling educators to deepen their gospel expertise alongside their teaching.
We also offer tailored professional learning workshops that help teachers think theologically, teach Christianly, and engage the hearts and minds of children and young people with the gospel. Programs are available in person, online, or in hybrid formats.
School Leavers Pathways
Year 13 is a Christian gap year for your graduating students. In partnership with their local church, students spend a year growing in knowledge and understanding of God, serving on an overseas mission, doing ministry locally, and learning what discipleship looks like, before they take the next step into study, work, or a trade.
For students who want to keep going into full-time ministry training, Youthworks College offers on-campus study at Newtown: the Advanced Diploma of Ministry, Diploma of Ministry, Diploma of Theology, and Diploma of Christian Studies. Students study two days a week on campus alongside a local church or ministry placement for the rest.
