You helped SRE to continue and reach more kids for Jesus

Your support is helping to make the most of the gospel opportunities that recent circumstances have created.

When schools moved into lockdown, SRE classes were suspended.

But thanks to generous friends like you, Youthworks was able to adapt quickly to the changes – making SRE available online for all 806,000 NSW public school students!

Youthworks CEO Craig Roberts shares how this presented an exciting opportunity for families to explore God’s Word together. He explains:

“SRE online provided parents with a firsthand look into an SRE lesson. Students and their families together were nurtured in their faith while being reminded that no matter how uncertain life is, our creator God’s promises, and love for us in Jesus, are rock solid.”

What an amazing gift of good news you provided, by investing in families and young people at this critical time!

And with face-to-face SRE classes returning to schools in Term 3, students will resume being cared for as they grow in faith through the support of Youthworks-trained teachers. Craig shares:

“The return of SRE to classrooms means kids can continue to hear they are unconditionally loved, with a love stronger than death! Our faithful SRE teachers can’t wait to see their students again, especially as this term’s lessons focus on some of Jesus’ most famous parables and people who chose to love, trust and follow him. I can’t think of a better post-pandemic topic for students to investigate.”

Thank God for the overwhelming success of SRE online, enabling students and their families to carry on exploring the Bible together. Please pray that the valuable work of SRE will continue to teach more kids about Jesus, as it returns to schools.
