A Christian leadership camp that lives up to its name

Adelaide student Noah Laforest first heard about LIT from some family friends in Sydney who thought it would be a good experience for him. After chatting with his parents, Noah decided to give it a try as he was keen to learn to lead Bible study groups. In January 2025, Noah flew by himself to Sydney to attend Summer LIT for the first time.

Noah shares,

“Leaders in Training 2025 was a fantastic experience for me. At first, I was a little nervous about it but everyone on camp was so welcoming. It was great to be part of my dorm, study, and prayer groups, where I learned a lot and connected well with many people.”

Noah particularly benefitted from the signature LIT Teaching Target approach, which involves learning to break down Bible passages to understand the context and the big idea. LIT participants then brainstorm the supporting ideas in the passage to work out how it applied in its original setting and how it applies for us today.

Noah says,

“I learnt so much about the Bible through LIT, and I also enjoyed the worship time, the social aspect and the helpful leaders. LIT is not just another Christian camp – it’s a well-tailored and all-round brilliant training event that builds knowledge and confidence in Jesus and his word.”

Father of four Adam Jolliffe has seen first-hand the life-changing impact of LIT on all of his kids.

“My eldest daughter Annika has just completed 4th year at Moore College, and in 2026 will start as Children’s Minister at St Michael’s Cathedral, Wollongong.  She has consistently said that she decided to go to Moore College because of LIT.  My youngest son Sam completed LIT stage 3 in September 2025. In his LIT friend group alone, 10 of them have become school captains!  A camp that purports to train leaders is doing just that - and living up to its name.”

Although LIT Summer 2026 has sold out, you can put LIT Spring 2026 in your calendar now!
