Youthworks CEO accepts new leadership role at Arncliffe

19 December, 2016

Message from the Chairman, Youthworks Council

The CEO of Youthworks, Rev Zac Veron, has given me notice of his resignation and will complete his time leading the organisation in mid-March. Zac has accepted the Archbishop’s offer to lead the church at St David’s Arncliffe from mid-way through 2017.

Over the last decade, Zac has made a unique and significant contribution as he has led the organisation through some of its greatest challenges. His dedication to Christ and the cause of the gospel has been a model to many.

The life of our churches is shaped by the cross of Jesus and the willingness to lay down our lives in the service of others in the footsteps of our Lord. Zac’s desire to share with young people the message of Christ crucified and risen for their salvation, led Zac to Youthworks. Now, this same willingness to follow his Lord in serving others, will lead him to take responsibility for God’s people and their mission at Arncliffe.

I thank Zac for his servant-hearted leadership and commend him to your prayers as he makes this transition.

The Council was aware of Zac’s intention to not stay with the organisation beyond 2017, and has already initiated the process of finding a new CEO to lead the organisation into the future. Please pray for wisdom in the search process, and that God would raise up the right person to fill this important role.
