Year 13 expands at Loftus

15 December, 2016

Youthworks is delighted to announce that Year 13 will be expanding its programs at Loftus in 2017.

“With Youthworks College moving to Newtown, Year 13 now has exclusive access to the Wanawong Campus”, said new Director Michael Williamson. “This means we can now operate across more days of the week, and we can accommodate even more students!”

Year 13 has just introduced a new enrolment option, allowing students to live and study on campus on Tuesday/Wednesday, providing greater flexibility and choice for students’ church ministry involvement and part-time work.

“We have also augmented the program so we can now deliver the full 8 subjects of the ACT-accredited Diploma of Christian Studies. This will give our graduates a significant head-start in Christian living, mission and lay ministry, and into further theological study if they desire,” said Michael.

Youthworks CEO Zac Veron is excited by the new expansion opportunities, and said, “Year 13 is brilliant at discipling young adults at a critical time in their lives when they’re looking to discover what the future holds for them. We now estimate that almost 10% of school leavers in the Diocese come to Year 13, which is a great blessing from God and a testament to the effectiveness of the Year 13 program. I look forward to seeing it continue to grow in influence as it orients even more young people for life under Michael’s excellent leadership.”
