Youthworks College Benefits from NSW Government Community Savers Program
The Community Savers Program benefits the Youthworks and visiting community by significantly saving electricity and water expenditure.
Youthworks College has been granted $5,118 to install a brand new pool cover and energy saving pumps to the pool from the Community Savers Program delivered by the NSW Government Department of Environment, Climate Change & Water. Youthworks College energy and water saving project is 1 of 164 other projects selected this year to receive funding. A total of $3.6 million in funding was delivered to similar not-for- profit community groups.
Installing energy efficient pumps and a pool blanket for the Youthworks College pool is estimated to save 930,000 litres of water, 18 megawatt hours of electricity and 19 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions in the first 10 years. This will also contribute to significant cost savings that can be better used elsewhere on site.
