HSC Study Conference Overview

Help Transform Young Lives!

Why come on an HSC Study Conference?

Do you find it hard to study at home?
Do you want to stop procrastinating?
Do you need a large chunk of time to get your study notes organised?
Do you need help in any subjects?
Have you been thinking there's more to life than the HSC?

Then HSC Study Conferences are for you!

30 hours of supervised study over the week
Each day consists of 6 hours of study (normally 3 x 2 hour sessions or 4 x 1.5 hr sessions) Past students tells us that they would never study that much at home. And that it's so helpful for being prepared early for the HSC and taking the pressure off.

No fridges, TV's or net to distract you
The problem lots of students face is when they sit down to study they find something more appealing to do. Whether it's the sudden desire to clean their room, to get something to eat, to watch daytime TV or check Facebook, on an HSC Study Conference you avoid all that.

Get into a positive study routine
The routine of study can set up great routine for the rest of the holidays and even the school term too. By getting into good habits early you can enjoy make it easier for yourself in the lead up to exams.

Easy motivation from other students
What would you find easier, studying by yourself in your bedroom, or in a room with 50 other students, all studying the same things? There's natural motivation that occurs when you do activities with your peers. It's the good type of peer pressure.

Guilt free breaks and in-built entertainment
Ever feel guilty that you're not studying enough? Well you won't feel like that on an HSC Study Conference. After studying for 6 hours each day you won't feel guilty about relaxing and so you'll enjoy it more.

Stay in quality conference facilities
All HSC Study Conferences take place at Youthworks conference centres. Regarded as the leader of the field, Youthworks has 11 conference centres and over 50 year experience in managing and running them.  We pride ourselves on friendly service, spectacular views and comfortable accommodation.

Enjoy delicious food
Our qualified catering staff have been providing delicious food for churches, community groups and corporate groups for over 30 years. We constantly update our menus to ensure the highest quality meals. Asian Australian HSC Study Conferences differ from other conferences in this area with more rice based meals.

Meet new people
With students from over 160 schools attending HSC Study Conferences you'll have the chance to meet people from all across the state on conference.

Get help in many subjects from tutors
HSC Study Conferences offers tutition in a variety of subject.  We are unable to guarantee tuition in any subject, but we aim to cover the following subjects: Maths (all levels), Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Senior Science), English, Business Studies, Commerce, Economics, PDHPE, Music, D&T, IP&T, History (Modern & Ancient). Tutors are comprised of current HSC teachers and exam markers, university students and full time workers . There's a high tutor to student ratio and last year over 180 tutors were involved in helping students achieve their full potential.

Been thinking there's more to life than the HSC?

All conferences include a daily quality presentation from the Bible and interactive discussion of Jesus, where you can ask the questions you want. You definitely don't need to be a Christian to come, many people who've come in the past haven't been Christians.

Who are the tutors?

HSC Study Conferences are a service of Anglican Youthworks. All tutors are volunteers and pay their own expenses to come away on the conference to help students prepare for their HSC.

Tutors pay their own way because they are Bible-believing Christians. Conferences are run not only to help students prepare for their HSC, but also to present them with the key claims of the Bible. Conferences are a co-operative effort across the wide Christian community.
