PART-TIME CHILDREN’S & FAMILY WORKER - BERALA
St James’ Berala Anglican Church, a growing church in a multicultural community, is seeking to employ a part-time (10 hours a week) children’s and family worker. In our local area we see great potential for connecting children and their parents with the gospel through starting up an exciting new ministry to complement our current outreach efforts. The right person for this role would fit this description:
- an evangelical Christian, serving in their current church
- a desire to reach children and their parents with the gospel
- experience in children’s ministry, especially in a cross-cultural context
- the enthusiasm and skills to start up and oversee a new ministry area (for example Kids’ Club for primary school children, or Playgroup or Music Time for young children and their parents/carers)
- a desire and ability to train church members to serve in ministry as they serve with you as volunteers
- experience/willingness to teach Primary SRE would be an advantage
- experience/interest in training youth will be taken into consideration
- previous ministry and/or theological training is preferred
The exact job description and ministry areas will be tailored to your interests, passions, gifts and experience. Ministry involvement on Sundays is negotiable.
