The Youthworks Ministry Support Team is looking for an experienced person to join our team with a particular focus on supporting ministry to boys in a variety of church contexts. You will need to be a committed Christian who can work independently and understand the value of participating in a close team. We are looking for a person who has the desire and the tenacity to create new opportunities and bring them to fruition to see boys raised as missional disciples of Jesus.
The position is full time and your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and implement strategies to increase the reach and impact of ministry to boys in Boy’s only ministry, mixed group ministry, and SRE.
- Support, encourage and network existing Boys’ Ministry leaders
- Support and train Youthworks College students in relation to ministry to boys
- Create and deliver high quality training for ministry to boys.
In addition to your primary role you will be expected to participate in the general life of the team.
This will include:
- Regular reading and writing on issues relating to boys and ministry to boys.
- Participation in our various conferences throughout the year.
- Willingness to travel approximately 2 weeks a year.
- Support the delivery of Safe Ministry Training (approximately 10 a year)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Theological Training - Diploma in Theology or Higher
- Experience in boys-only ministry.
Remuneration:
In line with Diocesan guidelines taking into consideration education and experience.
