Children's Ministry Coordinator

St John’s Sutherland is in the middle of a baby boom. We are being blessed with an increasing number of young children, and we are seeking someone with a passion for children’s ministry to co-ordinate the opportunities we provide for them to come to know the Lord over the coming years.

We are seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a new part-time position (three days per week).
The role involves:

• co-ordinating the Sunday morning children’s program,
• co-ordinating the weekly scripture teaching program in four local primary schools,
• overseeing other children’s programs currently running at St John’s, and establishing new, creative school- and church-based children’s ministries, which feed into junior youth ministries.

The successful candidate will show a passion for, and commitment to the St John’s vision, Connecting our community with Christ (see the church website, www.stjohns.org.au), and will work with the Pastor, Youth Ministry Coordinator and Parish Council on matters relevant to the position, to assist in achieving this vision for the church.
