Youthworks Access is designed to integrate people with a disability into a standard camp program

Access

Youthworks Outdoors recognises that a fifth of Australia’s population, or 4.3 million people, are affected by a disability. Youthworks Access is designed to integrate people with a disability into a standard camp program. We endeavour to make sure that people with disabilities are able to fully participate in the camp program so that everyone is able to use the outdoors as a platform for experiential learning. We also look at the non program areas such as accommodation, discovery sessions and general around the camp site accessibility.

Youthworks Access is also involved in WROK! (Wheelchairs Rules Okay!). WROK! is a holiday camp specifically designed for 12 to 21 year olds with a disability. It is run during the Easter Holidays every year and is a chance for young people to get away and enjoy some time out from normal life.
